Born on 28th April 1870, Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin was an artist and illustrator, best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, rural life, hunting and other outdoor pursuits. His execution of village scenes and rural buildings as well as animals (particularly dogs and horses) in pastel, chalk and pencil were simply stunning.
