Kate Greenaway was an English artist and children’s book illustrator born in Hoxton, London on 17th March 1846. She is considered to be among the most prolific and most influential children’s book creators and illustrators of her generation, and along with Randolph Caldecott and Walter Crane, one of the strongest contributors to the child’s nursery motif that the genre of English children’s illustrated literature would exhibit in its developmental period in the latter 19th century. Greenaway’s illustrations also had a great influence on fashion in young children’s clothing during the 1880s and 1890s. Some of the books contained within this collection are extremely hard-to-find and will provide a valuable library of reference material and wonderful illustrations.
Overall, an absolute must for anyone with an interest in Kate Greenaway and the illustration of vintage children’s literature. The full list of titles included speaks for itself….

The quality of the digitized works of Kate Greenaway is remarkable, exceeding my expectations by miles. The value at the meager cost is astounding. My wife wishes there were more items. She collects original items of Greenaway's and these will add to her collection. Keep up the good work. I'm going for the DaVinci items.
